Performance artist Rob Andrews presented his new work Union Square Clean at the Art in Odd Places Festival this past weekend. From the AIOP website the work is describes as "Forty figures cloaked in black fabric will gather in Union Square, where the public will be invited to clean the feet of the figures with Andrews. This performance is an act of communion. . . Let us be contrary, but find peace in our shared rituals!"

Did you see this work in Manhattan's public heart? How were you affected?

Rob Andrews will be teaching a performance art workshop for aspiring artist 12 years old and up, on Saturday September 24th at 1pm. See you there!
